The trips takes you through the incredible primate expeditions by visiting some of the world’s dense forests as you have your way through the jungle to meet the gentle mountain Gorillas and the Chimpanzees that are 98.9% human DNA. You will also have a chance to visit the savanna national parks and try to spot the African big 4 of the 5 that rule the jungle that is lions, leopards, elephants and buffalos etc.
This trip goes around some of the most scenic parts of the country that will give unending views of Africa’s biggest mountain range that is 70km long and 30km wide. Transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park.
Our company representative will pick you up from the airport/hotel and drive south to Bwindi impenetrable national park through Kigezi highlands which Winston Churchill named “the Switzerland of Africa”. Expect to have some stopovers en-route or lunch and scenic photography as you enjoy the pearl of Africa.
Gorilla tracking at Bwindi Impenetrable Forest:
Enjoy your breakfast and then have a briefing by the park rangers about the gorilla tracking. Soon afterwards you will begin off the memorable adventure in the forest in search for the gorillas which also gives chances of seeing other primates like the black and white Colobus monkeys; vervet monkeys olive baboons, and many more plus some forest birds. Meet and stay with the gorillas for one hour and descend back from the forest for relaxation
Transfer to Queen Elizabeth Park:
This morning after your breakfast you will transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park via Ishasha sector for a chance to see the tree climbing lions. And later proceed for an evening game drive on the northern sector in the shadows of the Rwenzori Mountains where you expect to see lots of wild animals like the elephants, buffaloes, lions, leopards, antelopes and more.
Game drive and launch drive.
In the morning after a cup of tea, you will enjoy a morning game drive so as to catch up with the early risers as they come out from their hide outs like the lion, buffaloes, warthogs, leopards and much more wildlife. This will be followed by a breath taking boat cruise along the famous Kazinga channel that connects lakes George and Edward rich in viewings of the crocodiles, hippos, water birds among others.
Transfer to Kibale Forest national park
On this day you will drive west of Queen Elizabeth to kibale forest national park that is famous for its large numbers of Primates such as Chimpanzees, colobus monkeys, mangabeys and close to 320 different bird species. The forest is home to around 1500 different chimpanzees and a family of 120 members is habituated for visitor visitation. You can also decide to visit the Bigodi wetland sanctuary for primate and bird watching in the afternoon. You can also decide to do a community walk that will guide on how people live and survive in Africa. Expect to participate in coffee making experiences, local beer brewing, basket weaving and much more
Chimpanzee trekking and afternoon transfer to Lake Mburo national park
Wake up for a heavy breakfast and head to the park headquarters for briefing about chimp tracking. This will be followed by a 3-4 hour chimpanzee trek in the jungle which will also enable you view other primates like the black and white colobus monkeys, Mangabeys, baboons.
Return to the lodge for lunch and transfer to Lake Mburo national park which is famous to its plenty and unique wildlife such as zebras, giraffes, impalas, elands, topis among others
Safari and transfer to Kampala/ Entebbe
You will drive through the park as you spot the beautiful wild game of this park such as zebras, giraffes, impalas, gigantic eland antelopes and many more. Afterwards check out with your lodge and set off for journey to Kampala/Entebbe.
